Everything a Professional Recording Workflow Needs

Capture, encoding, scheduling and storage under control on a single machine.

  • Independent channels

Each channel runs its own capture and recording process, watchdog and session: a fault on one channel never stops the others.

  • SDI, NDI® and USB/HDMI

Blackmagic DeckLink cards, NDI® sources discovered on your network and DirectShow capture devices or cameras, with automatic device detection.

  • DeckLink signal at a glance

In automatic mode, each channel shows the format the card detects, such as 1920×1080 · 59.94i, or NO SIGNAL. «Detect signal» suggests the matching mode before you apply it.

  • Multichannel audio

Up to 16 embedded audio channels from DeckLink and NDI®: record one pair or all of them, each on its own stereo track, with per-pair meters.

  • 94 factory presets

MPEG-2, H.264, HEVC, ProRes and DNxHR in MP4, MOV, MXF, MKV, MPEG-TS and AVI, from SD to 4K UHD, 16 of them for NVIDIA GPUs. Create your own and share them as JSON.

  • GPU with automatic fallback

NVENC H.264 and HEVC presets record MP4 without loading the CPU. If a GPU encoder cannot start, that channel moves on to Intel Quick Sync, AMD AMF or the CPU and keeps recording.

  • Supervised recording

If the recording process crashes or hangs, the channel keeps recording in a new file and the event is logged. Every file is checked when it closes.

  • Disk under control

Remaining recording time on screen, a clean stop before the disk fills up, warning and emergency thresholds, and optional automatic retention.

  • Precise scheduling

One-off, daily or weekday recordings, to the second and across midnight, with N-minute file segmentation and daylight-saving changes handled.

  • Named recordings

When you stop a manual recording you can name the file, also through the API. Scheduled recordings are saved with the date and the job title.

  • On-screen alarms

Alerts for black or frozen picture, silence, dropped frames and a low or unresponsive disk, plus optional color bars so a recording continues through a signal loss.

  • Activity log

Who started each recording, how (manual, scheduled or API), why it ended, what failed and who changed the schedule, with filters and CSV export.

  • REST API and WebSocket

Record, stop with a file name, schedule jobs and query status, preview, storage and events. On the same machine only or, if you enable it, from your network.

  • Spanish and English

Interface, installer and user manual in both languages. Switch instantly, without stopping recordings.

  • Offline licensing

A full 14-day trial and a perpetual per-PC license, activated without internet or a license server.

Broadcast Formats Without Memorizing Parameters

Pick a professional format across three panes — family, preset and details — and apply it to the channel. Each preset shows its full configuration: container, codec, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, GOP, pixel format, audio and tracks.

Duplicate a factory preset to customize it, star your favorites and share configurations between machines by importing and exporting JSON. Each channel shows the preset it records with.

Recording schedule with today's view, daily, weekly and one-off jobs, and the form to create a new one

Record at the Exact Time, Every Day

Schedule one-off, daily or weekday recordings with start and end times to the second. The Today view shows at a glance what is scheduled, in progress or already recorded.

Split scheduled recordings into N-minute files: if one is damaged, you keep the rest. If the machine restarts during the slot, recording resumes in a new file.

Recordings history with duration, size, operator and Protected and Important protection levels

Your Archive, Safe from Automatic Cleanup

Browse the history by date and channel with duration, size and operator, and open the folder of any recording.

Mark important material as Protected or Important and automatic retention will never delete it.

Activity log with recordings started, ended and saved with a name, and closed files

Know What Happened to Every Recording

The activity log explains in plain words who recorded, how each recording started, why it ended and which disk or signal warnings occurred, classified by level.

Filter by period, channel, type or level and export to CSV for your reports.

Baioss Record web panel with two channels recording: live preview, current preset, timer, bitrate and audio meters

Your Channels, Also in the Browser

The web panel shows each channel with its live preview, current preset, timer, bitrate and audio, and lets you record, stop and name the file.

It also manages the schedule, recordings and their protection, the activity log and storage, in Spanish or English and with a light or dark theme. To use it from another computer on your network, enable it in Settings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which sources can I record?

SDI signals through Blackmagic DeckLink cards, NDI® sources on your network and DirectShow devices such as USB/HDMI capture devices and cameras. Each channel has its own input, and the same card or camera cannot be assigned to two channels at once.

Does it record multichannel audio?

Yes, with DeckLink cards and NDI® sources: up to 16 embedded audio channels. In Inputs you choose one pair or all of them; each pair is recorded on its own stereo track or, with a multichannel preset, on a single PCM track in MXF, MKV, AVI or WAV. With DeckLink, «Measure audio» shows which pairs carry sound.

How many channels can I record at once?

From 1 to 4 independent channels on the same machine. The number is chosen during installation and is capped by the channels included in your license.

What happens if the signal drops?

Baioss Record shows the alarm on screen. If you enable the test pattern on that channel, recording continues with SMPTE bars and silence until the signal returns: immediately with NDI® and, with SDI or USB, as soon as the capture process stalls. If the loss persists, the alarm becomes critical.

What if the recording process fails?

Each channel’s watchdog detects it and continues recording in a new file, and the event is written to the activity log. Every file is also checked when it closes, and an alarm is raised if it is not playable.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The application works offline, recordings stay on your machine and the license is activated with a machine code, without a license server.

What do I need to get started?

A PC running Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. FFmpeg (ffmpeg.exe and ffprobe.exe) is not included in the installer and must be added separately; DeckLink cards also need the Desktop Video drivers and an FFmpeg build with DeckLink support. We recommend a dedicated recording disk; a GPU is optional and the NVENC presets need an NVIDIA one.

Is there a trial?

Yes, 14 days with every feature. When it ends you can still monitor your inputs and recordings in progress are never interrupted; only starting new recordings is blocked until you activate a license.

Can it integrate with my automation systems?

Yes, through a REST API and a WebSocket event feed: start and stop recordings (with a file name), manage the schedule and query each channel’s status and preview, storage, recording history and the event log. By default it only answers on the same machine; in Settings you can open it to your network, with the port and allowed origins you choose. Only do so on a trusted network.

Can I control it from a browser?

Yes, with the web panel: you see each channel with its preview, record and stop with a file name, manage the schedule and check recordings, activity and storage. To use it from another computer, allow network connections in Settings → Web panel and API; only do so on a trusted network.
